Last night we met a couple from Nebraska touring around in their 200hp Three Wheel “Bike” (it has a steering-wheel like a car but you need to wear helmets in the States where helmets are required and it has seatbelts.
I must say that I liked this car\bike a lot, and who knows, one day if we are to old to swing a leg over (the bike) but still have a Continent to do, this could work, so maybe Australia can be where we switch over????… Read More
Last night’s town was a proper Cowboy town, the bar even had swing doors, our horses were outside, inside there was confrontation, a dual was in progress, a fight was being fought, on the Pool Table, Peens accepted the challange and was entered into the towns Pool Competition, eventually he came second and won some money.
They managed to keep the towns main street looking like it did 100 years ago.… Read More

The area around Seattle is very fragmented and as you will see on the map lower down, the mainland is seperated from many other pieces of land by the sea, so instead of riding down from Oak Harbour (about 50km North of Seatle,) to the KTM Guys (South of Seattle where the cheaper storage is) Tex and Dog planned a route through the Olympic National Forest on a piece of land opposite us and then we can by-pass Seattle’s city.… Read More
The group had different ideas how to spend today, Pie had a long list of people from the Studebaker Club he wanted to go and meet today, but they are far out of Seattle and he is not flying out tonight, so he is not planning on returning today and therefore we dicided against joining him. We are ready for the Alaskan Leg, our fights are booked and the bikes are currently being serviced and most bikes are getting a new set of rubber. Dog and Tex have once again done the Route Planning and the first day of riding is Monday the 16th of July. Originally we were not going to ride the bikes all the way back to Seattle after reaching our most Northern part of the route, which is actually at the top of Alaska at the Sea of Beaufort, at a town called Dead Horse (so at least we know what to expect there, not much,) but my cousin Rassie and his friends were going to fly in to Fairbanks and then ride all our bikes all the way back to Seattle, making our trip only 2 weeks long, (which is just the right length, any longer result in our wives losing their sense of humour and us men start getting irritated with the other guys jokes and time-keeping, they way they chew their food and how often some want to stop for ice-cream and then there is the issue with “Kronkel-

I arrived in Seattle Yesterday, all on my lonely-self and took a taxi to the hotel, I checked in and dropped my luggage in my room. My phone started beeping with messages before I got to my room, the Wi-Fi password was still the same from the last time, and there was a message from Tex saying that he and Dog have also arrived and we should take a walk to the Storage Unit and use our only spare key and remove our helmets so that we would be able to start collecting all the bikes from KTM in the morning.… Read More

There is nothing like a 700km, 12hour day to kick your Jet-Lag in the butt !!! But I think today cured my Jetlag.
Last night while all the guys were blocking the entrance to the Day’s Inn, (it started raining and they simply moved their bikes under the Roof at Reception,) packing their bikes, I tried Suzi (my GPS) again and it would not turn on once in the Cradle, so I tried the only thing I knew in Fault Finding, and discovered that when KTM changed the battery they did not re-connect the GPS’s power supply, so it was a quick fix, and Suzi was ready for action.… Read More
