We did not travel together as a group this time as Tex was turning 70 and was holding a very big party at his Party Barn on his Ranch in Texas, so Pie and Millsy went via Tex’s Party for a very big “Opskop.”

Millsy’s Daughter works in Louisiana and was also able to attend wearing her Red Cowboy Boots, to match Tex’s Texan outfit :

Millsy even brought his lovely wife with for this party :

I was un-able to go to Tex’s party as myself and my lovely wife were competing in a Regularity Rally for old cars and old bikes in the Western Cape, called the Fairest Cape Tour;

Peens came directly to Mendoza to service his bike and put new Fork Oil and Oil Seals on his front forks. He came 3 days early and found that our Storage was not so “Weather Proof” as we thought:

And under Pie’s bike was a big puddle of oil:

So Peens spent the first two days sorting out the mess, washing the bikes and sorting out two bikes with flat tires, connected all the batteries and could then only start servicing his bike. We are all indebted to him and I can see lots of beers and brandy being bought to thank him. Below Peens is busy washing my bike, DadAss:

I arrived today and the rest of the guys are currently in the air on the way here, we start riding on Wednesday.
Peens is now busy removing his two Forks so that he can replace the seals and re-fill with oil. In the process we discovered that his bike is a Swinger:

I managed to check in my “Round Suitcase” with my 2 tires (and my paneer bag with my luggage in the centre, (which I was going to remove should they start again with “no car parts may fly,”) and man-handled it through the airport, so today I went around the corner to a “Tyre Man” who runs a little workshop, we were lucky to catch him before his Siesta, everyone closes shop at 14h00 and only start opening from 17h00, places like the little restaurants and cafes only open at 20h00.

Above is a Video Test, (this leg I plan to post more videos) which I took of the Tyre Man, who had a very well stocked Workshop, where Peens borrowed lots of specialized tools he needed to “crack open” the forks, (and I hear we are going back for more tools, so I paid his handsomely to fit my tires and to fix Rocky’s Puncture. )
I am writing this blog from inside the house of the Storage-Man, through the window I can see Peens swinging around with his bike as he is battling with removing the forks, so I should probably go and help him now, so more news tomorrow.
Keep well Ya-All.
