Eventually we are all here, I left my house on Sunday at 12h00 and arrived here in El Calafate at 16h00 Monday, by I had to turn my watch back 5 hours, so I arrived at 21h00 South African time. I did have a 6 hour lay-over in Sao Paulo, just enough time for a shower and a few hours horizontal in the airport hotel. I only started feeling better during our lay-over in Buenos Aires today when we could have a beer and eat some …….. yes, Empanadas, which are served at the Hard Rock Cafe.
But we are all here, the bikes were collected from storage, all with new tyres, (except Pie’s bike as his tyre he was going to bring was confiscated in Johannesburg, so he had no choices he fitted the old tyre Tex took off his bike, so very worn indeed, but beggars can’t be choosers.)
Lots of action, bikes being re-packed, tyre pressure checked, and Pie’s bike, apart from the old back tyre, also still have the problem with an oil leak, and it looks as if he was un-able to sort it out yesterday, so at the 1st chance he got they started searching for a solution.
It was lovely seeing my bike, DadAss again, (my daughters named her, 1st it was Daddy’s Ass then Dadas Ass, you know an Ass is a donkey don’t you??? Not referring to my ass, bum etc.) I love her, saying good-bye to her at the end of this trip when Rocky buys her will be sad. Think its new name will be Danny’sAss, as Rocky’s son Danny-Boy will probably be coming over often to ride it.

As some guys came early they did some Tourist Stuffs which they did not get do last time as they went horse riding (Peens was sick) on the day I went on the boat to visit 7 Glaciers.
But this afternoon there was no time to play tourist:

Tomorrow we cross back into Chile, sleeping at Punta Arenas. The bottom of this Continent is very fragmented and there will be a few Ferry Crossings before we reach Ushuaia. The weather looks good, temperature 11 degrees and wind only 6m per second in Ushuaia tomorrow, we get there only on Thursday, hope it lasts.
