We had a better day today, we travelled together and the only problem was that it was a very boring road. We continued traveling through the Great Plains of the Mid West. We crossed out of the State of Nebraska just after lunch into the state of Kansas. In the morning the Corn fields made way for grass covered hills where Angus Cows were doing their “Free Range Stuff.” We passed huge feeding lots, the biggest I have ever seen, just cattle as far as the eye can see, with proper industrial feeding-system and storage to beef-up all the cattle.

Some other photos of today:

These two Biker Chicks are searching for 25 little Statue Of Liberty Statue’s that are placed all over the state of Kansas.

At a Stop and Go Road Works Stop Pie ate his Yoghurt at 5pm which he took from the hotel this morning at 7am and complained the quality was poor?????? Probably poor refrigeration inside his pannier.

We saw real Cowboys herding the cattle on horseback today. Dusty hard work they do.

We saw another real cowboy in the Saloon two nights ago, he drove there in has Truck still wearing his spurs on his boots???
Our Tourist Stop for the day was a visit to the Ranch and house of Buffalo Bill, a famous Nebraskan who came here as a Scout with the army and then became a guide for people wanting to hunt buffalos, he became famous for putting together the “Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show.

The show consisted of many Marksman, Cowboys with ropes, a real buffalo and Bison and many Indians and they acted out scenes like the robbery of a stage-coach and shot at each other and at the end of the show many Indians and their horses lay on the ground “dead” at the end of the staged scenes. It was a display of fine horsemanship and riding together in formations and great shooting with rifles and hand-guns.

Above Bronco Bill from the show.

In his show there was a famous female Marksman named Annie, who was the inspiration for an international famous stage play called Annie Get Your Gun, which our parents took us to when I was a small kid. She could shoot the flame off a candle and never missed.

Peens did a fine display of being a cowboy.
Tex went to look inside the old Farmhouse but they wanted $16 Dollars if you were from out-of-state, only $4 if you were from Nebraska, (the lady did not believe us.)

We passed through many small towns, but depressed towns as the farms in the area are not doing well. Many fields lays dry and bare as farmers did not bother to plant this season as the price of diesel has rocketed and the cost of fertilizer has gone up eight fold. Many occupants in this small towns are the old people who cant farm no more. This Oldman’s dog’s name is D-Ring, Tex loved speaking to him.

Milsy even helped an old lady across the road walking in her Zimmer frame. Our little Boy Scout !!!!

Church built with bales of hay:

In the middle of a small little town, in the middle of the Mid West, the most sparsely populated state in the USA, we stumbled on to this Gun Shop. I have never seen a shop with so many guns of so many variety, including automatic weapons, and shelves and shelves of ammunition. There was also an entire section with Hunting Clothes and kit and even a Gunsmith on site working on and servicing fire-arms and rifles. Where do the customers come from??

A License for these Automatic weapons below takes about 6 months they say.

No guessing who these people vote for:

We chose a hotel that cost $4 more per room to be able to have a swimming pool, and the guys have not been out since we got here.

My daughters could not remember my Apple Password, so I played around with what I remembered it was, johAN-16, I tried every possible combination and swapped capital letters around, all until Apple Blocked me. So then I tried the email route which takes 24 hours, and that was at Midnight last night. So another late night for me. At least Peens played Mr. Delivery and delivered a burger to my room last night before returning to eat his own meal. Tonight I am not going to sit in the room again, I am also going out with them and will give it a try on my return. Today I took photos on Peens’s phone and Tex also emailed me some photos, so the blog will continue with many photos and some useless stories of my life on the road.
But I must say, I am missing my Doo Doo Blankly, the phone is a form of security, not just to communicate with Thea but if I get separated from the guys on the road there is no way to contact them and find out where to meet them. Tex also communicate the next days route to us by Google Maps on WhatsApp which I now cant get, so I am following the guys closely and not disappearing along the route for photos like I used to. I am also now cut off from my Instagram and cant do any posts. I can look at what my Share Portfolio did on the day (maybe better, just been bad news for a long time,) and cant do any internet banking from my phone. I have several payments I have to do tomorrow and will have to do the payments using my lap-top, not done that for a while, hope I can still remember all those Passwords.
See you on the other side.
