Last night we sat in the foyer-come-dinningroom-come-reception-come-lounge of our little hotel that was in itself a Time Capsule of the 1960’s. I can’t believe this has just happened, I spent 2 hours doing the Blog and must have lost Wi-Fi, and when I pushed Publish the screen went blank and everything I had been pouring my heart out about was gone, missing, zero, niks. Today Peens had to do his “Admin” after his Rest Day yesterday, but Pie and I could play tourists. We walked the city square and took a Tourist Bus.

I was not expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. The bus passed through many Parks and Plaza’s, important buildings and Historical Landmarks. The Argentinian’s got fought for their independence against the Spanish from 1810 to 1816.… Read More

We did not travel together as a group this time as Tex was turning 70 and was holding a very big party at his Party Barn on his Ranch in Texas, so Pie and Millsy went via Tex’s Party for a very big “Opskop.”

Millsy’s Daughter works in Louisiana and was also able to attend wearing her Red Cowboy Boots, to match Tex’s Texan outfit :

Millsy even brought his lovely wife with for this party :

I was un-able to go to Tex’s party as myself and my lovely wife were competing in a Regularity Rally for old cars and old bikes in the Western Cape, called the Fairest Cape Tour;

Peens came directly to Mendoza to service his bike and put new Fork Oil and Oil Seals on his front forks.… Read More

Yesterday after Siesta ended (not that I had any Siesta) I walked to the Tyre-Man to see how Peens was doing with “cracking open” his forks, and got there just in time to see him spill all the oil over his shorts and on the floor. After I did the Blog last night I found the guys sitting almost in the street drinking beer from beer bought at Reception, they were having a great time, not Classy, but nobody in Mendoza knows them.
