Getting fuel in Argentina has been problematic to say the least. Last night we sat in Rockies room eating nuts, biltong and crisps, (we call this an Oros Dinner as we then dont go out for dinner,)  looking at YouTube Videos of Route 7, calculating distances, checking for accommodation and fuel along the way, and checking Ferry Times. Last night Tex went Breakfast shopping and arrived with a big box of stuffs (yes, my word.) This morning I sautéed the onions (which I attempted to chop, using a normal knife you eat with, there were no real knives,) with some butter. Last night after I did the Blog I played Master Chef Mystery Box with the two crates of groceries Peens and Rocky had bought. I mixed the Chips Dip with the Jalapeños that I chopped finely. Then I mixed the sachet of Mayonnaise with finely chopped lettuce, and with the Tomatoes, Green pepper and olives I made another “almost” Greek Salad.… Read More

Last night it started raining and a cold-front followed us into town. We rented 3 Cabanas for the 7 of us and the main Cabin had a fireplace and a kitchen with a real pot and even a kitchen knife, not to mention a strainer and an egg lifter, real luxury. When Pie saw the rain he started waxing his ugly boots, not to make them clean, but to make sure they will be water-tight in the rain the following day.… Read More

Last night Peens was Braai Master again, and he also had a Braai Companion, but not a dog, this time it was a cat, who was later joined by another 3 cats, not a stray-dog in sight.

Yesterday afternoon after our late lunch in the Cafeteria some of the group went for a late afternoon nap while I did the blog. And let me just say, the two youngest people on this group has had the most afternoon naps, (yes I am counting,) claiming to be sick and faking coughs just to get a 30 minute shut-eye, while the oldest and 2nd oldest in the group dont sleep in the afternoon, they sleep during dinner and during the time we have a Loop Dop (one for the road.)… Read More

Yesterday I passed Dog next to the side of the road, he was with 2 policemen. I was not worried as I have ridden many kilometers with Dog, and he has a collection of “Police Patches” which he displays in his Man-Cave, (with patches swapped with other police in the USA and from all over the world, he gives them a patch that says Houston Police Department and they give him one of theirs,) I would call it a Shoulder Lapel Patch, (the identification insignia and badge the cops wear on their uniforms.)… Read More
